Consider the statement below.

When we say that the linguist is interested in language, we imply that he/she is interested primarily in language behaviour.

(a) Specify in a single sentence whether you consider the target statement to be true or false.

(b) Present a systematic justification of your opinion as expressed in (a), by grounding it in the views of Chomsky and De Saussure.
