Below I provide handouts used in my Elem Hebrew course. Generally, I present these in tandem with Alan Ross’ introductory grammar, Introducing Biblical Hebrew (IBH). However, sometimes I depart from Ross (for ex., I don’t treat vocal shewa as a vowel, and consequently my syllable divisions will differ from Ross).

Qal Strong Verb Paradigm HANDOUT
Qal Strong Verb Paradigm PRACTICE SHEET VERSION 1 (This is a “tree-saver” sheet that allows you to drill the entire paradigm six times on one handout; the forms are arranged in a *single* column according to the verb paradigms in the back of Ross.)
Qal Strong Verb Paradigm PRACTICE SHEET VERSION 2 (This is arranged in the typical order that Dr. Marshall’s other verb handouts follow: singular forms in column one, plural forms in column two. It allows you to drill the entire Qal paradigm one time on one handout, but the arrangement is familiar since it corresponds to the “boxes” handout. Use either one for drilling.)

GENESIS READINGS
In the last part of Hebrew II we read some sections of Genesis in class. Below I provide some helps with parsing weak verbs that we have not covered yet. As well, there is a handout on how to organize your notes as you study the verses.
